Sarah Weld, WHNP
Sarah Weld is a board-certified women's health nurse practitioner (WHNP-BC) at our Manhattan office. She trained at Emory University, where she earned both her nursing degree and her master's in women's health nursing, after a bachelor's degree at Washington and Lee University. Nurse practitioners in women's health carry a heavy share of the preventive and contraceptive care in this practice, and Sarah's visits are often the ones patients describe as the first time someone actually listened.
What a visit covers
Preventive visits and annual exams with Pap and HPV testing, contraception counseling and prescriptions, screening and treatment of infections, and the follow-up of ongoing gynecologic problems, working alongside the practice's gynecologists. Ultrasound and lab testing are done in the office, usually at the same visit.
