Elisha Gomez is a women’s health physician assistant who grew up in Queens. She is interested in helping women understand their health through education and preventive care, from adolescence through menopause and beyond.
Background and training
Elisha Gomez earned a physician assistant master’s degree at Stony Brook University after studying biology at City College of New York. Her training includes obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, primary care and surgery. Earlier work included medical scribing and community health outreach in New York.
What a visit covers
Preventive visits and annual exams with Pap and HPV testing, contraception counseling and prescriptions, screening and treatment of infections, and the follow-up of ongoing gynecologic problems, working alongside the practice's gynecologists. Ultrasound and lab testing are done in the office, usually at the same visit.
